How do you remove the light cover panel on a 98 VW Golf to change bulbs? No owner's manual.?

I've changed one before and it was so easy. All the bulbs for the tail lights are together.

You have to depress on 2 spring clips on either side of the bulb holder and pull all the bulbs out. Be careful to pull out straight because you can break all the other bulbs.

Press down on the bulb and turn to remove it. That's it replace the bulb and push back the bulb holder.

We know how to change the bulbs. It's accessing them and removing the panel as well as that panel's location that we are trying to figure out.

Try poping the hood and looking on the edge where the light is. There spould be some screws
open the trunk the light should be inserted through the back twist it out lefty loosy righty tighty and replace the bulb.
my 2003 jetta has little carpeted doors that open with thumb screws to access the lamps. Autozone may replace them for you for free if you buy their bulbs.
